Paulding Democrats | Ride Our Float in the Dallas Christmas Parade
Come ride the Paulding Democrats float in the Dallas Christmas Parade! We play great music, bring great snacks, and have a great time showing Paulding County that DEMOCRATS LIVE HERE. If we have enough folks willing to walk the route, we can hand out candy to all the spectators. Kids are welcome to ride the float.
Our float theme will be How the Grinch Stole Christmas. (Read into that what you wish.) Dress for the weather. Please wear either a Grinch sweatshirt or blue or white top (sweatshirts, jackets) if possible. The roads around the parade route are closed that morning. If you don’t want to walk a long way to get to us, please meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Watson Government Complex, 280 Constitution Boulevard in Dallas. Use the parking lot to the west of the courthouse building, near Justice Center Drive. You can ride the float to our lineup location and help put the final touches on our float.
In case you can’t meet at Watson, we will let you know where to find our float as soon as we get our line-up information. In past years, we have lined up near 519 Hardee Street. You may be able to park at the Paulding Community Center, 210 Paulding Lane, and then cross the pedestrian bridge to get to us. You will need to be at the float absolutely no later than 10:45 a.m.
The parade steps off at 11 a.m. and lasts about an hour.
We will work our way back to Watson after the parade to return folks to their cars.
