Bryan County Democratic Committee Information Session, Voting Member Elections & Officer Election
This Meeting Is for EVERY Democrat in Bryan County
The Bryan County Democratic Committee (BCDC) is hosting a countywide meeting that begins with an open, easy-to-understand information session, followed by voting member elections and, if time permits, an officer special election.
π You do NOT need to be running for a position to attend.
π Even if you are just listening, your voice matters.
π If you have never attended a meeting before, this is the perfect one to come to.
This meeting is designed to help Democrats across Bryan County understand how the committee works, what it does, and how local voices help shape the direction of the party.
Information Session: What Youβll Learn
Before any voting takes place, we will begin with a clear and welcoming overview covering:
What the Bryan County Democratic Committee does
The role of the county committee within the Democratic Party
The responsibilities of voting members and officers
How local party leadership supports candidates, elections, and accountability
We are also honored to welcome Michael Carpenter, Pooler City Council member, who will speak about local leadership, public service, and civic engagement.
Thinking About Running for Office? (Important Upcoming Dates)
While the primary purpose of this event is the February meeting, we also want to share an important upcoming deadline.
β‘ Candidate qualifying will take place March 2 through March 6.
π Location and daily qualifying hours will be announced soon.
If you are considering running for a partisan office as a Democrat, we strongly encourage you to reach out to the Bryan County Democratic Committee. We can help answer questions and assist with the qualifying process.
Membership Affidavit & Intent to Run Forms
To vote or run for a position, a Democratic Party membership affidavit is required.
