History Has Its Eyes on You: A Study of Hamilton through “Hamilton”
This YDG University course examines Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton: An American Musical as both a cultural phenomenon and a civic call to action. Participants will analyze the musical’s themes of legacy, revolution, and leadership to understand how art shapes political consciousness and engagement. Through guided discussion and critical reflection, we’ll draw parallels between the founding era and today’s fight for democracy — preparing students to translate inspiration into action for the 2026 elections and beyond.
